That resistor behind the light is it standard from the factory or did they have a battery??? I have fitted 'battery elimimators' to bikes ive owned before and i was told to make sure that there is something on to use some current.

On a different note, how does the power valve controler work on the WR?? On the DT ive been told that i have to have a battery because when you turn the key on the auctator cycles the power valve for a cleaning sweep and resets itself ready to go, if you have no battery it does not function properly.

I have a WR controler here i would like to use it instead of the DT one so i can get rid of the battery. That resistor behind the light is it standard from the factory or did they have a battery??? My 98 had no battery and the pv is a servo with 2 cables.great bike Yeah i know how the pv works. Maybe i should have explained myself better. Ive got a DT controler which has 3 wires And a WR controler which has 5 wires. They are both the same with the 2 cables to the motor.

I read something in the DT125R forum about the 5 wire on not having something in the CDI so the PV servo has to work it out for it self. But i am not sure if that is battery related.

I will sort it out eventually, just thought someone might know. So Rickster was your 98 model from the factory with no battery???

Bike looks like this at the moment Ive been making up little niks and knacks for it getting it ready to go together. The suspension piviot bearings have me stumped, too hard to find new ones so i think the old ones will do. Rear wheel spokes too, i dont like the sound of $170 a set. I had forgotten how expensive motor bikes were. Thanks for that info.

I did read something about a potentiometer or something in the 5 wire controler with a feed to go back to the CDI. That circuit must be in the CDI controler on the WR. They chopped and changed between the 2 types 3&5 in the DT125R-DTR125. Those poms had it hard.

There was a full power version and a restricted version for Learners. Sounds like i might as well sell the WR200 controller. Yeah true a battery does not weigh much.

But there is really no point it being there and i have the eliminator/capacitor allready. I do have the plastic tray part for that side of the box on one bike here but its broken. This bike did not come with one at all. If i use a battery i have to make a home for it.

. 1 Answer SOURCE: i actuall have a yamaha enduro 100 and had this same problem.

First thing is take the clutch apart take all the rings out and clean them good with momry cloth assemble the clutch compleatly as it came out and when tighting the springs tight them all one turn at a time and after everytime you go around try to move youre clutch with youre bike in gear. If it trys to move it is engageing just keep turning the screws untill they stop.

Also recomend putting threadlocker on the drive gear bolt and the clutch bolt that holds the clutch on. If you have and questions just e-mail me at just make shure to tell me that i responded to youre fixya question about youre bike and i will walk you threw it. Ps just rember to put the clutch pushrod back in Posted on Oct 23, 2009. Take clutch case off, you then see the clutch basket and you need to remove the center plate with about 6 bolts, then remove the fiber coated plates along with metal plates.

Then replace first a fiber coated plate followed by a metal plate then a fiber following this until all plates are in and a fiber plate is showing! Then replace the cover plate with 6 bolts, tighten all bolts then undo the center nut with the adjusting screw and back it off until there is slight free play on the clutch leaver as you pull it and then release!

Lock the nut up holding the screw and try! Soak fiber plates for an hour before installing also! Cheers Dec 04, 2013.
